Prof. Burton B. Yang Visited College of Animal Science for Academic Exchanges
At 9:30 on the morning of June 28th,Burton B Yang, a professor in the Department of Experimental Medicine and Pathology of University of Toronto, visited Animal Science Lecture of our College for academic exchanges with our teachers and students. The academic exchange was hosted by by Xie Qingmei, associate dean of the College of Animal Sciences.Prof. Burton B. Yang
Prof. Burton B. Yang gave an academic report entitled "Methods to study circular RNA functions" and introduced the research by his team in recent years. Also he explained the regulatory role and mechanism of micro RNA and circ-foxo3 in tumor development and angiogenesis. In addition, Prof. Yang specifically pointed out that only when the amount of CIRC RNA reached a certain level can it play the function of micro RNA sponge in the discussion.
In this academic exchange activity, Prof. Yan not only brought cutting-edge international academic knowledge for teachers and students, but also communicated them with more rigorous scientific attitude and encourage them to think critically in scientific research to modify, supplement and perfect their research programs.
