At 9:00 a.m. on September 12, 2018, Dr. Xie Liwei, member of the American Nutrition Society, member of the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, member of the American Heart Association, member of the International Stem Cell Research Association, and editor and reviewer of the authoritative academic journals of the United States, delivered a report in Animal Science Lecture of College of Animal Science and exchanged with the teachers and students of our college. Professor Shu Gang from the College of Animal Science attended and hosted the meeting.

First of all, Professor Shu Gang expressed his warm welcome to Dr. Xie Liwei's visit and academic exchange. Subsequently, Dr. Xie Liwei gave an academic report entitled "Cross-talk between host and gut microbiota and its translational application", mainly illustrating intestinal flora and host health, muscle stem cells, fat metabolism, oxygen-regulated stem cell metabolism, muscle cell physiology, biochemical mechanisms, physiological regulation of HIF1 and HIF2, HIF2 potency in SCs, HIF2 inhibitors, HIF2 effects in static MuSCs, Spry1, etc., and briefly introducing the irregular expression of HIF2 mRNA in dynamic MuSCs and the importance of intestinal microbes on human health.
